A unique opportunity to get in front of key stakeholders business, creative, and community leaders in the region to network, to highlight contributions, and to celebrate the arts.

The Cultural Alliance's premiere fundraising event that serves to acknowledge outstanding support by business leaders and extraordinary volunteers as well as to increase visibility for arts and culture in Western Connecticut.



BSA Award - Danbury Hospital/Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra

The BSA award is the Cultural Alliance's most prestigious award and recognizes a business, organization or entrepreneur for their exemplary contributions to the arts in Greater Danbury each year. Past recipients have made a broad impact through their financial and/or volunteer services. Past recipients include: Farifield County Bank; Goodrich; Comcast; Western CT State University; Joseph DaSilva, Jr.; and Union Savings Bank.

Arts in the Community Award -Steven Greenberg

This award highlights, promotes, and honors community leaders who have encouraged and supported innovative approaches to using the arts to build and sustain vibrant, healthy, and creative communities.

Heart of the Arts Award -Barbara Manners

This award recognizes the outstanding volunteer efforts of an individual and their contributions made to encourage and nurture arts and culture in their community.

As one of the top lifestyle experts, Mar has been featured on HGTV, the Today Show, QVC, and in the New York Times. He is the author of the best selling Life On Mar’s: A Four Season Garden, a nationally acclaimed gardening book, sold world wide.

He is an on-going contributor to ABC’s WTNH. Jennings is also a correspondent and home and garden expert for the Better show, a nationally syndicated lifestyle program. He has served double-duty as host and producer of the Emmy-nominated lifestyle show Northeast Living on FoxCT/CT1 but you might also know him as host of Dream Room Makeover, Dream Wedding and Backyard Makeover.

Mark Boughton

Mayor, City of Danbury

Mayor Boughton is currently serving his sixth term and is continuing his commitment to downsizing and reorganizing our government, solid financial management, upgrading and modernizing our schools, enacting new legislation to protect our children and our neighborhoods and delivering new customer service tools such as Cityline 311, phone and email notification and Danbury Television (DTV).

Mayor Boughton is devoted to making Danbury the "greatest place to live work and be educated." The Mayor is married to Phyllis Boughton who is his biggest supporter. Phyllis is also the owner and manager of Connecticut Kitchen and Bath located in Danbury.

Dan Goble

Dean, School of Visual & Performing Arts, Western Connecticut State University

Dr. Daniel Goble brings over thirty years of experience as a performer, educator and arts administrator to the position of the Dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU). Over the past 16 years at WCSU in his roles as the Coordinator of Jazz Studies, Associate Chair, and Chair of the Department of Music, Dr. Goble led efforts to assure excellence in teaching, scholarship and service that have both enhanced the reputation of the university while attracting outstanding faculty, staff and students to the campus. 

Adam Battelstein

Owner & Director, Catapult Entertainment

Adam Battelstein, Founder: spent 19 years with Pilobolus.  He left something of himself with them and brought something of them with him when he left.

He has traveled the world as a performer and director, worked with the illusionists at Momix, soloed at Carnegie Hall, performed at the 2007 Academ Awards, danced on the Oprah Show and can even fit his entire body inside a suitcase.
